Evelyn Rozas Erbo

Using elements found in the gathering of existing elements in Chilean woods, definitely constitutes the support to create organized work, so that when you see the work would comparatively be similar to an X-ray version.
In this process we face a symbolic universe on a relationship man-woods proposal basis, where the presence of the first relies in the field of sensations inspired by the work, and the other one from the parts that organize the whole.
We appreciate in Evelyn’s work that the varnish (blaze) and the impromta (impression) from delicate management in forms determine speeds. Color and rhythm appear as a fundamental element to develop composition.
In this aspect, these two formal units allow us to introduce into a system, where pieces move and invite us to place and observe from a delicate expecting position where color helps to produce a reflexive atmosphere.
That is why Evelyn’s work provides us with endless sensitive experiences.

Nothing with a concrete reason present in the painting, is but, “annoying”, wrote Magritte in “Notes from a Painter”.
This point lets us think about how each unit structuring the painting, must have a given function, linking as a result an appreciation that allows a conscience of message whose destiny, is somehow defined by the artist.
With reference to this last comment, the elements in the work of the artist Evelyn Rozas are perfectly arranged, with a formal balance, and as result installs a process of communication where poetry and perceptions are positively exacerbated.
